Grand Prix Athletics Series

 

CP Sport will be hosting five Grand Prix competitions during 2010.

 

Dates and Venues:

Saturday 17th April Perivale Park Athletics Track, Perivale, London [results]
Saturday 22nd May Robin Park, Wigan [results]
Saturday 19th June Bath University, Bath [results]
Saturday 3rd July Harvey Hadden Stadium, Nottingham [results]
Saturday 21th August Gateshead

Rules of Grand Prix Series

Athletes may compete in one, or all five events. Total score over 3 meetings will determine the winners.

Cheques should accompany the application form and be made payable to CP Sport.

Entry Forms must be received in the CP Sport Office 3 weeks before the competition.

No late entries.

Competitors will be issued with a number for the season.

Athletes' performances will be measured against personal best performances at the end of last season and must be entered on the application form.

Confirmation and Provisional Timetable will be sent out nearer the time.

Colin Rains Outstanding Track and Field Athlete Award

Colin Rains sadly passed away on March 31st 2009, Colin was known to many people worldwide for his dedication to the provision of sport for disabled people and in particular track & field athletics. Colin passed on a wealth of knowledge to aspiring athletes, coaches and mentored individuals in organisational sporting roles. Colin's family were welcomed to the National Championships and Jan Rains kindly presented a new award bearing Colin's name to recognise an emerging talent who portrays commitment & inspirational endeavour.

The recipient for 2009 is Eleanor Hubbert who has had a tremendous season with many personal best performances. Eleanor trains diligently and enthusiastically and always gives of her best.
