We are delighted to announce that our latest Patron is rising
star Joseph Dempsie.
Joe was born on 22nd June 1987 in Liverpool and is an actor who has shot to fame
playing Chris in the E4 television show 'Skins'.
Joe has also appeared in 'Doctors', 'Peak Practice' and 'Sweet Medicine' as well as the films
'One for the Road' and 'Heartlands'. He also appeared in season 4 of Doctor Who.
Joe added some star quality to the charity's event and attended the
Bright and Beautiful Spring Ball
on 18th April 2008 at the East Midlands Conference Centre.

Basher was born in Nairobi, Kenya on 24th March 1944 and had a successful cricketing
career including playing for East Africa (1963-1965) and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club (1966-1985). Basher
has played 329 matches, made a total of 14,394 runs (average 29.07) and scored 1,000 runs in a season on 5 separate
occasions. After retiring, Basher became the Commercial Manager at Notts CCC and was a first class County Umpire in
1989/90. Basher currently runs his own hospitality/events company and is the agent for cricket greats such as
Sir Garfield Sobers and Sir Richard Hadlee.
Basher is a very active Patron and has supported CP Sport for many years. One of Basher's
biggest events of the year is his golf day which takes place in September. If you would like to take part in

Stuart Boreham
Everyone at C P Sport is delighted to welcome Stuart Boreham as the charity's latest patron.
Stuart is the first physically disabled person to row an ocean. Stuart crossed the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera,
Canaries to Barbados, covering the 3341 miles, solo, unassisted and unsupported in 109 days 12 hours and 9 minutes,
between 15th November 2003 to 3rd March 2004.
Stuart broke a world record from taking on this phenomenal challenge and will shortly be entered
in the Guinness Book of World Records. Stuart has cerebral palsy and will not only be an inspiration for our young
athletes, but also for everyone who has the pleasure of meeting him.
Stuart runs his own company as a motivational, keynote and after dinner speaker. For further
