New videos highlight the importance of sport for people with cerebral palsy

CP Sport has launched a series of videos for CP Awareness Month this March which bring to life the impact of sport for people with cerebral palsy, their families and those who are involved in helping make opportunities happen.

The short films created by Find it Film include interviews and footage of CP Sport events providing insight and awareness about the difference sport and physical activity can have socially and physically. Parents, participants, volunteers, fundraisers and sponsors took part in this exciting project.

CP Awareness Month takes place each March. It is an opportunity to talk about the importance of sport and physical activity for children and adults with cerebral palsy. During the month CP Sport has also been sharing quotes across social media from it’s community which provide a snapshot of the different ways regular participation and exercise can make to day to day lives.

Danielle Sellwood, creator of the videos from Find it Film said,

CP Sport has such a strong and supportive community, which makes my job a lot easier. The stories we have told this CP Awareness month are rich and authentic. Everyone is welcoming and eager to share how much being involved with CP Sport means to them.

Sandy Drummond, Head of Marketing & Communications at CP Sport said,

We are delighted to be able to share these stories from CP Sport participants, parents, volunteers, partners and fundraisers this CP Awareness Month. Our aim is to show the impact that sport and being involved with CP Sport has made to people’s lives and through this, encourage more people to get involved with events, find their local clubs, or just start to incorporate physical activity into day to day life.
