The sport I participate in: I am a triple national champion Para Athlete (F37), Double English Champion. I compete in Javelin, Shot Putt and recently Sprinting. Also, I play CP Football once a year in the CP Cup.
What skills have you learnt or improved from participating in sport? I have improved my co-ordination and strength on my CP side due to training. I have grown in confidence within myself and have found something I excel in.
How have you benefited from participating in your chosen sport? I have benefited by improving my overall strength and fitness from sport, my training makes me work on my weak side in order to get better overall and has improved my day to day life because of it (e.g stretching everyday).
What are your ambitions in sport? I want to continue competing against both able bodied and disabled athletes, and I would like to represent GB in Athletics. My dream is to become a Paralympian one day.
Why should other people give your sport a go? It’s fun, challenging and makes you feel proud about your accomplishments.
Are there any further opportunities you like to see be made available in your sport? Yes, I would love for there to be more disability competitions available as I compete mainly against able bodied athletes.
