Trustees’ week takes place 1-5 November and is an annual event to showcase the great work of trustees’. It also provides opportunities to get people involved and make a difference. There are one million trustees in the UK and they play a vital role bringing commitment, skills and experience to charities as volunteers.
CP Sport is governed by a Board of Trustees that bring a range of skills in supporting the organisation with governance decisions. The Board of Trustees consists of up to ten independent individuals with a range of skills and competencies across key sectors that enables Cerebral Palsy Sport to operate as an effective strategic national disability sports organisation (NDSO), charity and a Limited company.
Our Trustees are people who care passionately about CP Sport and who recognise the vital contribution the organisation makes to the lives of people with disabilities.
Chris Jay, CP Sport Trustee said:
“Having cerebral palsy myself and being a trustee allows me to ensure that those with disabilities are at the very heart of our decision making and strategic processes. Diverse boards should be at the heart of all organisations to ensure fresh thinking.”
Join our board
There are opportunities to join our board of trustees and make a difference to what we do. We are looking to recruit up to 3 trustees to strengthen our board at an exciting time in the organisation’s evolution. We have a specific vacancy for a treasurer, who will chair the finance and governance committee and we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in health and children’s services. However, if your experience is outside of these areas, and you have a passion for inclusive sport and physical recreation, please do apply.
Download the candidate pack here: CP Sport – Trustee Pack Nov 2021 and apply by Friday 3rd December 2021.
