CP Sport have collected a range of profiles from people with CP that participate in sport. We will be posting these profiles daily throughout CP Awareness Month (March) to celebrate positive stories and inspire people to take part in the future.

Name: Charlie Price

Sport: Frame Running

Charlie Price, born with cerebral palsy, is an outstanding Frame Runner. She is the England Champion at 100m, 200m, and 400m and has held that position for two consecutive years. She has also taken ‘gold’ at the CP Sport Athletic Games in these same distances and same years. In 2023 she was ranked No. 1 in the UK at 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m and although did not compete that year at 1500m, her performance  from the previous year was better than 2024’s best recorded time.
Admittedly this is not an exact science but if her personal best performances were overlaid on the World Rankings in her T72 classification, she would record 3rd in the world at 100m, 2nd at 200m and 1st in the 400m and 800m. These times would have to count as ‘unofficial’ as they were all gained at meetings which did not have a WPA license so her challenge for this year is to seek out competitions of sufficiently high standard and properly make her mark on world rankings.
