This March, fundraisers have been supporting the 31 Miles This March campaign for CP Sport. The campaign has run throughout CP Awareness Month and participants encouraged to take on 31 Miles over the month however they wanted. A Facebook group and Strava club were set up to keep everyone motivated and to share progress.

A total of £5,065 has been raised to date, reaching the £5,000 target hoped for. 226 participants took part and 246 people donated. An amazing 1,779 miles were reached!

Special mention to Palmarsh Primary School. On March 23rd each class (staff included) walked 31 miles as part of a range of activities to celebrate CP Awareness Month and raised a total of £1,372.

Individual fundraiser Lewis Darby raised an incredible £1,571. His daughter has cerebral palsy and took part in her first Frame Football session in March. Lewis said,

“Charities like this are so important for people living with disabilities and Grace has such a positive attitude that she’ll thrive off any opportunities they can offer”.

The money raised will go to supporting more people with cerebral palsy to be active and enjoy sport.
