The National CP League concluded on Saturday 2nd April with teams completing their final fixtures.

Norwich and CP North West were both teams in contention to claim the league title. Norwich had 3 games and were required to win all to claim the title. Despite a win against Derby, Norwich lost to Chelsea. The result which meant they were unable to catch up with CP North West who were crowned National CP League winners 2021-22.

The final fixture of the day saw Norwich inflict CP North Wests first defeat of the season as they came out 3-2 winners. Highlights of the day included Brighton claiming their first win of the season, some great goals and a special mention to Derby’s keeper who made some very impressive saves throughout the day.

CP North West will now meet NEY FC in the FA Disability Cup in June. The CP League are looking at an event in May and will confirm in due course. Attentions also turn to the League AGM in August as the committee set about plans for the 2022-23 season.
