Name: Brody Clarke
Role: Player
Club: Man City disability, England talent pathway, 2 mainstream teams
About me: I am 11 years old and have right side hemiplegia. I play for Manchester City disability team however I support Manchester United, my favourite player ever is Wayne Rooney!
What I enjoy about playing football: When I play mainstream nobody has the same struggles as I do, playing with children like me lets me know I’m not alone.
Impact that football has on my life:Football is everything to me, I have friends from football, I keep fit playing and I have a focus each week. I started at CP United and heard about Man City football, my mum took me and a coach called Paul Kelly asked my mum if I would go to an England assessment day, this was the best day of my life, I have a lot to thank him for.
My ambition in football: I want to be the Lionel Messi of disability football, I wont stop until the world knows who I am.
What would you say to others with CP about playing football: Search a local CP football team, be brave and get yourself to training.
