The virtual London Marathon is back and we have places available to take part on Sunday 2nd October 2022.

Back in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic meant the London Marathon was not able to take place in its usual format, the virtual London Marathon was introduced so that people could still run while the world was restricted.

The 2020 virtual event proved so popular it was back in 2021 with 22,342 people from more than 101 countries taking on the 26.2 miles virtually and 35,871 participants back on the traditional central London course. It was a celebration of everything the London Marathon stands for: fun, fundraising, fancy-dress and amazing community spirit, and a triumph of positivity and togetherness.

The virtual London Marathon has evolved into an event with its own unique benefits for participants. Where it had started as an alternative for all runners, it has been embraced by people who want the flexibility of doing their marathon their way. Because the virtual event can be completed over a longer time period than the mass event – from 00:00 to 23:59:59 on Marathon Day – it attracts people who may previously have felt excluded from the London Marathon – no need to travel to London and have flexibility and freedom to do it your way!

CP Sport has charity places and we would love you to take part this year. All we ask is for you to raise at least £200 for our charity. We will be supporting you virtually all the way! You will also get a CP Sport shirt and we can share your story and fundraising page through our social media if you wish.
